Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'don't seem to be working as a couple' expert claims

One royal expert has questioned whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear as aligned in their working partnership as they do in their romantic relationship.

The couple have both revealed major solo announcements recently, including Meghan’s forthcoming podcast with Lemonada Media and Harry’s interview at the Invictus Games.

Writing in her latest article for news.com.au, royal commentator Daniela Elser has questioned whether the couple have “built a sort of professional Berlin Wall” in their working lives.

Likening it to a “work divorce”, Ms Elser wrote: “The last nine months have seen Harry and Meghan drift off on different work paths, with the Duchess joining the books of the biggest of Hollywood whales, agents WME in April.”

Whilst commenting on the end of the couple’s joint deal with Spotify last year, Ms Elser said that their Netflix deal is “looking increasingly like it’s about to get it’s last rites”.

With Meghan set to “continue to pursue whatever WME mastermind Ari Emanuel has been cooking up”, the expert also wonders what Harry will get up to – especially as the Invictus Games appear “clear cut”.

She wrote: “I’m not sure what he is going to do with this mornings and his afternoons and all the other working hours of the day while Meghan is off ideating in the other room.”

Concluding her article, Ms Elser wrote: “How will post ‘divorce’ Harry and Meghan fare out there in the cold, hard working world?

“Their two roads might have diverged in a wood (with apologies to Robert Frost) but they still have a mortgage to pay. Ari better work his magic.”

Away from their professional partnership, Meghan and Harry have been married since 2018.

The couple will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary later this year and, since their wedding day, have welcomed two children.

Earlier this year, one body language expert analysed Meghan and Harry’s joint appearance in Jamaica.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, expert Darren Stanton said that the pair “appeared very tight and completely united”.

The couple most recently put on a loved-up display in Canada at the one-year countdown to the 2025 Invictus Games.

Although Harry’s solo initiative, Meghan braved the freezing temperatures as she stepped out in support of her husband.

The couple’s two children – Archie, four, and Lilibet, two – did not join their parents for the trip to Canada.
