The royal couple broke the exciting news at Harry’s cousin’s wedding in 2018.

A glimpse into this decision was highlighted in Harry’s tell-all book, Spare, which he penned last year.

The book, garnering worldwide attention, unravelled a multitude of revelations.

Setting straight the media’s spin on several accounts from recent years, Harry clarified the announcement of his and Meghan’s expecting status, which it was rumoured, they disclosed at Princess Eugenie’s wedding on October 12, 2018.

Describing the scenario in his book, Harry wrote: “Euge was getting married, to Jack, and we were deliriously happy for them and for ourselves, selfishly, since Jack was one of our favourite people.

“Meg and I were supposed to head off on our first official foreign tour as a married couple, but we delayed the departure several days, so we could be at the wedding.

“Also, the various gatherings connected to the wedding would give us a chance to pull aside family members one by one and tell them our good news,” he confessed.

Harry shared that he broke the happy news to his dad, King Charles, “at Windsor, just before a drinks reception for the bride and groom”.

Charles was thrilled to hear he’d be a grandad for the fourth time, according to the Duke.

In the much-awaited book, Harry, now a dad of two, opened up about his royal upbringing and made some startling revelations.

He also discussed his life after leaving the UK and stepping down as a senior royal.

He wrote about his domestic life with Meghan, his wife since their 2018 TV wedding in Windsor.
