Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis finally reunited with Princess Kate


The full statement from Kensington Palace said: “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery.

“She is making good progress. The prince and princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

The future Queen ia expected to return to official duties after Easter and in the meantime Prince William has also stepped back as he supports her in her recovery by looking after their three children. He is expected to return to work shortly.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman told reporters that he’s sure the return home is sure to be “welcome news”.

He said: “That would be welcome news both to the royal family and I’m sure to the public more widely.”

It was revealed yesterday that King Charles has also been discharged from hospital following his planned corrective procedure.

His wife Queen Camilla arrived at The London Clinic half an hour early to ensure she was there to pick him up.

Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “The King was this afternoon discharged from hospital following planned medical treatment and has rescheduled forthcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recuperation.

“He would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit, and is grateful for all the kind messages he has received in recent days.”
