Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet still have to follow strict rules despite living in US

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will still have to follow one strict rule – even though the siblings live in the US are their parents are no longer working members of the Royal Family.

Speaking of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two children, one style expert stated that Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, will have a “more relaxed” upbringing than Prince William’s three children.

Meghan and Harry made the decision to step down from royal duties at the start of 2020.

Although Lilibet wasn’t yet born, Archie was less than a year-old at the time of their move out of the UK.

Style expert Bella Hignett told GB News that Archie and Lilibet’s “less restraining” childhood is evident through their outfits.

Ms Hignett said: “Archie and Lilibet will still have to have a modicum of restraint when dressing. But they will be far less formal.”

She added: “This will be exacerbated by growing up in California where dress is much more relaxed and laid-back.”

Speaking of the comparison to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, the expert said that this is because of their roles in the monarchy and the fact that their parents’ are the future King and Queen.

The young trio are often see alongside their parents at public royal events.

Even though he is no longer a senior royal, Prince Harry is still fifth in line to the throne.

Harry’s place in the line of succession means Archie is sixth and Lilibet are seventh respectively.

Speaking of their dress code, Ms Hignett said: “The climate and the fact they won’t have to attend as many formal events means the dress code in general will be more casual.”

Archie and Lilibet have rarely been spotted in public, with Meghan and Harry choosing to keep them out of the spotlight.

The children did, however, make an appearance in Harry and Meghan’s explosive Netflix docuseries.

The series aired in December 2022 and featured various clips and pictures of both Archie and Lilibet.

In one clip, Meghan’s niece Ashleigh – who is the daughter of her half-sister Samantha Markle – is watching over Princess Lilibet.

The clip is likely to have been filmed more than two years ago as Lilibet is set to celebrate her third birthday later this year.
