Possible flash floods in New Mexico, Texas: Monday weather forecast updates



While heavy rain and flash floods are possible across the southern High Plains over the next few days, the northern Plains will see above-average temperatures throughout the region, the National Weather Service said.

Meanwhile, Texas will see lower temperatures Monday before ramping back up to near 80 degrees by the middle of the week, according to AccuWeather meteorologist Alyssa Smithmyer.

Northeast New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle could see possible flash floods after recent rain has “overly saturated ground conditions,” the weather service said.
