POLL: Should Prince Harry have stayed in the UK longer than 24 hours?

Prince Harry made an emergency dash back to the United Kingdom upon hearing that his father King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer.

He flew from Los Angeles to London, landing at Heathrow at lunchtime on Tuesday and being drive straight to Clarence House to meet with the King for the first time in months.

However the pair were only able to chat for 45 minutes before the King and Queen Camilla flew by helicopter to Sandringham where he plans to recuperate in private.

Due to the last-minute nature of his trip Harry had not been invited to stay at any of the royal residences and he had to check into a luxury hotel in London for the night.

By Wednesday afternoon the Duke of Sussex had already been spotted back at Heathrow, landing some hours later in California to be reunited with Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry’s brief trip has sparked hopes that he and the rest of the royals could patch things up, and that next time he might bring the rest of his family to visit the King.

While Charles may be ready to forgive his son, the Duke’s older brother Prince William may be less keen after he and Princess Kate were spoken about so harshly in Harry’s memoir Spare.

William too has had a lot to deal with as he returns to royal duty after taking time out to care for Kate and look after their children as she recovers from abdominal surgery.
