POLL: Have you made changes to your lifestyle to be kinder to the planet?

It has been three years since the Daily Express launched its Green Britain crusade calling on the UK to bcome more environmentally friendly. We called on readers to help reduce pollution and protect nature by making small changes.

The issue of climate change is still discussed, with numerous changes being brought in since we launched our crusade in 2021.

The Express called for VAT on low or zero carbon products – like solar panels – to be scrapped, something that we couldn’t do as a member of the EU.

This was achieved as the government temporarily reduced the rate of VAT on energy saving heating products to 0 percent until 2027.

Brexit gave Britain the chance at leading the world in a green revolution that will create jobs, prosperity and a cleaner planet for all to live on.

The pandemic in 2020 saw pollution fall, and with working from home still possible for millions across the UK, it’s thought this has further contributed to reducing Brits environmental footprint.

The Express called for tax incentives for doing the right thing, ensuring we create the right conditions for the wealthy to invest in the future of the planet.

Individuals can make a big difference in improving the environment, from recycling plastic to walking, cycling or taking public transport instead of driving where possible.

But have you made a change to your lifestyle? Vote in our poll and let us know.
