Polish national arrested for 'helping Russian spies try and assassinate Zelensky'


A Polish national has been arrested in his country on suspicion of conspiring with Russia to assassinate Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

The man remains unnnamed and has only been dentified as Pawe K.

The suspect is accused of aiding the Kremlin’s security services in orchestrating an attack that was thwarted by Polish authorities with assistance from Ukraine.

Information about Pawel K was passed on to the Polish Prosecutor’s Office by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Details regarding how or when Pawel K planned to target Zelensky remain unclear at this stage. The investigation is ongoing.
