A resident, who didn’t wish to be named, told the Express he fears there could be violence in the surrounding area due to the hotel.
He said: “This area is known for the odd gang war. I don’t think they’ll tolerate it [the situation]. I’m just speculating. I thought I’d pop by to see what all the fuss is about.”
“The next step will be to move them into all the council properties getting built. All of a sudden, a nice area will become a hostile, dangerous, looking-over-your-shoulder area.”
