While shop-bought pigs in blankets do just fine, why not push the boat out a little bit and make a delicious sauce to make your tastebuds tingle.

Only needing five ingredients – and two are the classic sausage and bacon combination – this recipe is super easy to do.

Ready in as little as 20 minutes in the oven, these no-fuss pigs in blankets are sure to become a recurring dish.

Definitely moreish, just make sure there’s enough to go around – there’s no doubt meat eaters will be having more than one helping.

Ingredients

24 rashers of smoked streaky bacon

Two packs of British Cumberland chipolatas

Two tbsp clear honey

One tbsp grainy mustard

Few sprigs rosemary, finely chopped, plus extra to garnish

Method

Preheat the oven to gas six (200C/fan 180C). Cover a baking tray with foil. Wrap a rasher of streaky bacon around each sausage and put on the tray.

Make the sauce

Put the honey, grainy mustard and chopped rosemary in a small pan and gently heat until the bubbling.

Brush the sauce over the sausages and cook in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes until lightly browned. Serve, garnished with a little more chopped rosemary.
