Experts at Performance Racing Oils explained: “Designed to cut the cost of motoring by improving fuel economy and reducing wear on key engine components – prolonging the life of engines.

“Independent tests show a fuel saving of up to 2.5%.”

Crystal Voogd, a spokesperson from motor finance specialists ‘5 Star Loans’ has previously revealed the importance of “energy conserving” oil.

The expert reiterated that these oils contain friction-reducing additives which are vital for fuel saving.

“Energy efficient” oil is not just an important fuel-saving tip but could help individuals save money across the board.

The solution is likely to help prevent damage to key components, possibly reducing the likelihood of [arts failure and breakdowns.

Leading motor oil brand Mobil1 stressed that their premium motor oils will provide “exceptional protection”.

They explained: “The molecules in Mobil 1 advanced full synthetic motor oil are created to be consistent in size, unlike conventional oils. This makes them better at reducing friction in your engine.

“Simply put, less internal friction helps your engine last longer.”

Earlier this month, car insurance experts and breakdown specialists at the RAC warned fuel prices were now at a three-year-low.

Average petrol prices now stand at 135.72p per litre, the lowest rate since September 2021 after several weeks of continuous falls.

The diesel rate currently stands at 140.85p per litre which is also the cheapest the compound has been at UK pumps since Autumn 2021.
