Only those with 20/20 vision can spot the hidden animal in under 15 seconds

Brainteasers are a great way to push the mind and body to its limit. They can come in many different forms, they can be analytical or observational – and always fun.

This latest brainteaser from Dudolf is a great example of an observational brainteaser; one where the user has to scan an image in order to find an anomaly. Your task is to find a single snake in among the square of turtles above.

The aim of this type of brainteaser is to try and confuse your brain by placing the object you’re looking for alongside similarly coloured objects.

What’s more, the snake in question is a very similar shape to the heads of the turtles it’s situated near, making it even harder to find.

Quickly categorising each shape and moving from one turtle to another will be key if you want to find the snake in just 15 seconds.

Did you spot the snake? No worries if not, the answer is above. They are hiding on the left side of the image just a little way off from the bottom.

While brainteasers may seem like a harmless way to kill time on a morning commute or in a waiting room, they are more than just fun. They act like exercise for the brain, helping to keep it sharp and potentially reduce cognitive decline.

This is key if someone is to reduce their risk of dementia. This isn’t to say that brainteasers like this one could stop someone from developing the disease, but they can help keep the brain sharp.

Dementia is one of the biggest health crises in the UK and while treatments are improving, there is currently no cure for the condition. According to one Chinese study, owning a pet was associated with a reduced rate of decline but owning a cat or a dog didn’t make any difference if someone didn’t live on their own.
