A Bronx sicko is accused of chucking his family’s cat out the window of his 15th-floor apartment in a fit of rage after the feline scratched his hand.

Miguel Perez, 32, was indicted Tuesday for the fatal toss of the small black cat named Shadow out of a Bronx public housing unit in March, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office announced.

Perez reportedly became enraged after the family pet scratched his hand on the morning of March 4 and threw the cat out the 15th-story window of the Mitchell Housing Complex on Alexander Avenue. Shadow died on impact with the pavement, prosecutors said.

The alleged cat killer was arraigned last Thursday on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals and torturing and injuring animals.

“We are supposed to love and care for our companion animals,” Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark said in a statement.

“Allegedly, in a fit of rage, this defendant tossed the family’s cat out of his apartment window, causing the animal’s death.”

“The abuse of animals will not be tolerated.”

Perez is due back in court on July 21.
