An unhinged Romeo was severely burned when he torched himself and a car during a wild lover’s quarrel in Washington Heights early Tuesday morning, police and sources said.

Cops responded to a 911 call at West 177th Street and Cabrini Boulevard shortly after 12:30 a.m. on a report of a car on fire at the scene, according to police.

Firefighters doused the flames and EMS rushed the unidentified 27-year-old firebug to Harlem Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition with burns throughout parts of his body, police said.

His gal pal, also 27, was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital with burns on her hands.

Law enforcement sources said the two got into an argument, with the man lighting the fire that spread to the car and left him with severe burns — while the woman tried to douse the flames.

Images from the aftermath of the blaze shows the scorched car double-parked and the burn victims being loaded into ambulances — as onlookers gawk at the bizarre scene.

No arrests have been made in the incident and both burn victims are recovering.
