That was a wheelie bad decision.

A callous crook swiped a pricey motorized wheelchair from a New York City building — plopping himself in the driver’s seat before making a slow getaway, according to wild surveillance footage.

Cops are now hunting for the brazen bandit who allegedly wandered into an apartment building at 888 Grand Concourse in the Bronx around 2:11 a.m. on April 21 and rode off on a $5,000 wheelchair that was left parked near the lobby, according to the NYPD.

Surveillance video captured the suspect — sporting black pants, a blue sweatshirt, black vest, a black backpack and a blue and white winter hat — entering the building and dragging the motorized device from under a staircase.

He then plants himself in the seat and drives it toward the lobby, the footage shows.

Police said the alleged thief fled on the power chair and are seeking the public’s help in identifying him.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, on X @NYPDTips.
