Nikki Haley upsets audience with huge mistake at start of her LA rally after big defeat

Nikki Haley refuses to say the word ‘slavery’ at a town hall

Nikki Haley spoke of Donald Trump’s failures during a speech at the Los Angeles rally on Tuesday night – but ironically made a huge mistake at the start.

Haley suffered a humiliating loss against ‘None of These Candidates’ in the Nevada Republican primary, which she failed to mention even once during Wednesday night’s rally.

She had hoped for a strong comeback after her devastating loss in Tuesday night’s primary, but Haley kicked off her campaign stop by saying: “It’s great to be here in Orange County!”

The upset crowd then reacted badly, causing Haley to correct herself and remark that she was at a fundraiser in Orange County earlier in the day, joking: “I don’t even know where I’m sleeping tonight.”

Haley spoke of her prospects in the race, saying: “We’ve been able to defeat a dozen of the fellas. We’ve got one more left.”

The former UN ambassador said: “We started in Iowa with two percent, we got to 20 percent, then we went to New Hampshire and we had 43 percent The more important part of that is that our Republican incumbent, Donald Trump, did not get 43 percent. That is a big deal.”

She added how Trump has a habit of getting into temper tantrums, saying: “The night of New Hampshire, he was all upset because he said I was going to be 30 points down and all he did was have a total temper tantrum on stage, talking about revenge.

“Then the next day he goes out and says anybody that supports Nikki Haley will be barred permanently from MAGA,” she added, which were met with cheers from the crowd.

Haley said the presidential race is about a “story of addition,” where “you’re supposed to be bringing people in, not pushing people out of your club,” citing the Republican National Committee’s decision to pull a resolution to declare Donald Trump the GOP’s “presumptive 2024 nominee.”

Haley continued her speech by discussing about permanent tax cuts for small businesses – which she calls the “heartbeat of the economy” – eliminating the federal gas and diesel tax, calling for transparency in education, and addressing illegal immigration at the border – which she said “doesn’t even look like the United States of America anymore.”

Her speech was interrupted mid-way when a protestor stood up with a sign that read “HALEY CLIMATE CRIMINAL.”

The audience started to boo, with one man shouting “get out of here,” while the protester slammed for being a “sellout.”

Once security removed the man from the room, Haley said: “God bless him.”

With the crowd chanting her name, she continued: “You know usually where there’s more so don’t be surprised if more show up.”

Haley was handed an overwhelming loss in Nevada’s symbolic Republican primary as GOP voters resoundingly picked the “none of these candidates” option on the ballot in a rejection of her – the last remaining major rival to former president Donald Trump.

Trump did not compete in Tuesday’s primary, which doesn’t award any delegates needed to win the GOP nomination. The former president is instead focused on caucuses that will be held Thursday and will help him move closer to becoming the Republican standard-bearer.

While that means Tuesday’s results were essentially meaningless in the Republican race, they have still amounted to an embarrassment for Haley, who sought to position herself as a candidate who could genuinely beat Trump.

Instead, the former South Carolina governor became the first presidential candidate from either party to lose a race to “none of these candidates” since that option was introduced in Nevada in 1975.

Haley did not campaign in Nevada and refused to participate in Thursday’s Republican Party-held caucus after she labeled it “unfair.”

She instead spent time campaigning in her home state, South Carolina, before its February 24 primary.

Haley spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas said after Nevada’s results: “Even Donald Trump knows that when you play penny slots the house wins. We didn’t bother to play a game rigged for Trump. We’re full steam ahead in South Carolina and beyond.”

The Associated Press declared “none of these candidates” the winner at 12.01am on Wednesday, based on initial vote results that showed it with a significant lead over Haley in seven counties across the state.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden easily won Nevada’s Democratic primary on Tuesday against author Marianne Williamson and a handful of lesser-known challengers. Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips was not on the ballot.
