Nigel Farage has called on Lee Anderson to join Reform UK after he was dramatically suspended from the Conservative Party.
Rishi Sunak has ordered the suspension of Anderson after Labour wrote to Tory party chairman Ric Holden accusing the Ashfield MP of Islamophobia.
Anderson, a former deputy chairman, had claimed that London is being “run by Islamists” in the wake of extremism on the streets.
He had failed to apologise to Sadiq Khann over suggestions that the London Mayor is an Islamist.
However, Anderson’s suspension has shokced fellow Tory MPs at a time when Sunak’s own leadership is under question.
Nigel Farage was quick to react telling Express.co.uk: “Lee Anderson should join Reform UK.”
Reform has previously flirted with Anderson joining the party after he had already turned his back on Labour to join the Tories.
The former miner has become a hugely popular figure in the Conservative Party wiith his outspoken style loved by many who pay to attend fundraising dinners to hear him speak.
Anderson had been an advocate of sticking by Rishi Sunak as leader but now thee are questions about whether this could trigger a new revolt.
