The toll of the Russian offensive has been staggering, with over 54,000 soldier fatalities recorded in approximately two months, as disclosed by Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, on January 23rd.
Umerov further revealed that the Kremlin was sacrificing about 400 soldiers for every square kilometer gained in Ukraine.
Assessments from British intelligence suggest that given the substantial losses suffered, it could take Russia five to 10 years to rebuild its military units to their former levels of training and experience.
