Morrisons announce price cuts across every UK store – but shoppers will have to be quick

According to the supermarket chain, around 200 products will be reduced by an average of 20 percent.

The 200 products will be cut for a limited amount of time, with the offer ending on January 4.

This includes cupboard essentials and some fresh produce items like cucumbers, salad tomatoes and iceberg lettuce.

Some of the biggest price reductions include Morrisons washing up liquid reduced from 75p to 59p, as well as a five-pack of bananas reduced from 99p to 78p.

Customers can also get their hands on Morrisons brown basmati rice for just £1.85, reduced from £2.99 and chopped tomatoes for 49p, reduced from 60p.

Other items involved in the price cuts include colour super concentrated liquid, petit pois, closed cup mushrooms and Bodyform cour-v ultra night sanitary towels wings eight pack.

Alongside this includes offers on health and beauty products such as Lynx Africa Shower Gel, Radox Bath Salts and Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream.

The supermarket has also reduced Morrisons Omega 3 Fish Fingers from £1.75 to £1.29, and Morrisons Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce x4 from £1.85 to £1.70.

The cuts and price locks will be available to shoppers both in-store and online.

What’s more, shoppers will have eight weeks from December 27 to get their hands on the price lock items.

Morrisons have invested £15million to cut and lock prices saying they will help customers have a “nutritious and healthy start to the New Year”.

This is the second year in a row that the supermarket has rolled this out for its customers.

Rachael Eyre, chief customer and marketing officer at Morrisons, said: “We know that January can be a difficult month for many after enjoying the festive season, so we wanted to do all we can to keep prices low without any compromise on quality.

“Whether it’s helping our customers with ingredients for nutritious meals or making it easier for them to stock up on toiletries, we are starting the New Year as we finished the last one, with a real focus on meaningful price cuts across all areas of our stores.”
