Dramatic footage shows the moment Israeli jet fighters blew up a key Hezbollah position in Lebanon, according to the nation’s military.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it targeted sites from which missiles had been fired towards settlements in the north of Israel.
In post on X, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari wrote that Israeli air force fighter jets “attacked a military site of the terrorist organization Hezbollah.”
He continued: “The attack was carried out in response to launches from Lebanon, towards the settlements of the Western Galilee earlier today.
“In addition, in the last few hours, a number of launches from Lebanon were detected at IDF positions in the north of the country.”

He added: “IDF forces attacked the sources of the shooting.”
Footage that accompanied the post appeared to show an airborne view of targets exploding, but didn’t clarify exactly what was happening in each clip.
It comes as reports suggest Lebanon mayor Hussein Mansour and a family member have been killed in an Israeli missile strike.
A relative and Lebanon’s national news agency told Reuters that the missile struck his home a few kilometers from the Israel border.
According to relative, the shell did not explode but struck Mansour directly.
Violence at border between Israel and Lebanon escalated on Sunday, with the Iran-backed Hezbollah launching explosive drones and powerful missiles at Israeli positions.
Meanwhile Israeli airstrikes hitting a number of towns and villages in south Lebanon.
A Hezbollah official said Israel had increased its attacks in Lebanon, while Eylon Levy, a spokesperson for the Israeli government accused the militant group of “escalating its aggression”.
Levy said that “the consequences will be severe for Hezbollah and for the state of Lebanon” if the missile attacks continued, Reuters reports.
