Missile strikes another ship in the Red Sea as Houthi conflict escalates

A missile has struck a Malta-flagged ship in the Red Sea, according to the UK security firm Ambrey.

It was unclear who launched the missile, however, it comes just one day after the Houthis in Yemen struck a US-owned vessel in the Gulf of Aden.

Ambrey said the Greek-owned ship was impacted with a missile as it travelled north in the Red Sea 76 nautical miles northwest of Yemen’s port city of Saleef.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also said it was aware of an incident 100 NM northwest of the port.
