Former rugby star Mike Tindall gave royal watchers a glimpse into his time in Australia as he shared snaps and videos from an ‘open mic’ night. Posting to his Instagram stories, Mike appeared to be enjoying himself with drinks flowing and music filling the room as he soaked up the evening with friends.
His story included the on-screen caption “Open mic night” and tagged several accounts, including Magic Millions Polo. Mike is in Australia alongside his wife, Zara Tindall, as the couple return once again as ambassadors for the Magic Millions Festival. A second story reposted footage originally shared by another user, showing a lively crowd with everyone having fun.
The carnival is usually a major fixture on the racing and social calendar that combines race days and the headline polo and showjumping event. The flagship race day at the Gold Coast Turf Club is scheduled for Saturday, January 17.
This year, the festival has again drawn a high-profile crowd, including the Princess Royal’s daughter. Australian coverage of the polo event described a celebrity-heavy guest list on the Gold Coast.
Harry’s polo-playing friend, Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina Blaquier, are also in attendance.
Earlier, Magic Millions co-owner Katie Page-Harvey confirmed the return of the ambassador group for 2026, naming “Zara and Mike Tindall” among the “Magic Millions ambassador family”.
Over the weekend, Zara was ecstatic along with her teammates, Mr Slater and Ruki Baillieu. Their team, Champagne Pommery AU, won with a scoreline of 12-10, taking home the trophy.
Taking to Instagram, Magic Millions wrote: “They did it! Billy, Zara and Ruki are taking home the trophy for team @champagnepommeryau this year with a whopping 12 goals to 10 goals.
“A cracking game, fast-paced and full of energy. What a way to wrap up the day!”
