Mike Tindall 'in trouble' after making three-word admission in candid interview

During a special podcast where Mike Tindall was interviewed alongside his wife, Zara Tindall, the former England Rugby star confessed his simple, three-word nickname for Prince William. In the sports podcast with Rugy League legend, Rob Burrow, he was keen to know if the pair had any odd nicknames for each other or for members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles or Queen Camilla.

Speaking about Zara’s cousin, Prince William, Mike revealed he was known as “one pint Willy”.

Mike Tindall revealed: “He is known to me as One Pint Willy because he is not the best of drinkers, coming from a sport where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often. That is one I will definitely give away for the Prince of Wales.”

Zara Tindall became worried after the name was revealed: “Oh my god. You are in so much trouble.”

However, Zara’s husband also revealed they have sweet nicknames for one another. Mike said: “We basically call each other munchkins a lot. I don’t know why that started but it has stuck. I will let Zara decide whether she wants to give away what I am down in her phone as.”

Later in the chat, Zara only revealed: “He is in my phone as something else and it ends with kitten.” Rob’s podcast, which is called Seven, sees him interview sporting stars along with his wife Lindsay, asking them seven questions.

Zara Tindall and Mike are known to be close to the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.

Last year, the Royal Family appeared on Mike Tindall’s own podcast titled ‘The Good, The Bad and The Rugby’. Mike also got the pair to open up about the competitiveness between them, especially when it comes to tennis, and Kate went on to tell of the intense battles that the pair have on the tennis court.

Mike was the son of a banker who attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He entered the professional world of rugby at the age of 18.

Mike and Prince William have always shared a close bond, and their relationship strengthened when Mike joined the Royal Family officially in 2011.

Mike and Zara tied the knot on July 30 at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, just three months after Kate and William’s wedding.

Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter, a former Palace press secretary, believes the amicable relationship between Prince William and Tindall comes down to their similar personalities.

He said that both are “likeable guys”, adding: “We’ve seen [this] time and again in William and Mike’s interactions. They are a proper family. They’re not playing at it.”
