The Met Office has issued an urgent yellow weather warning for rain covering large swathes of the country.
The warning, which is in force from 3am until 2pm tomorrow, warns residents of the potential of flooding and travel chaos.
Some areas could see up to 30mm of rain during this period, the weather service said.
