Melania Trump's anti-ageing secrets at 54 include eating chocolate and playing tennis

The Slovenian ex-model has always been in the spotlight for her impeccable style and beauty, and has captivated many with her wrinkle-free look.

Even at age 54, Melania Trump’s radiant appearance and model-esque stature are enviable, begging the question as to how she achieves it.

Melania is known for her dedication to fitness, as revealed in a detailed GQ interview from August 2022. She incorporates ankle weights into her daily routine, which is a subtle yet effective way to enhance calorie burn, as supported by the American Council on Exercise.

It is suggested that light weights can increase calorie expenditure by five to 15 percent, which might be one of the secrets behind Melania’s slender figure. According to ENews, Donald Trump’s wife is also partial to Pilates and tennis as a means to keep fit.

A good diet is essential to maintain a trim physique, but the mother-of-one doesn’t believe in a highly restricted meal plan.

Despite claims from acquaintances that she is very conscientious about her food choices, Melania herself expressed to Refinery29 in 2012 her fondness for breakfast smoothies, emphasizing, “It’s not a diet, I just like to eat healthy because I feel better and have more energy.”

She has a surprisingly modest approach to snacking too, claiming: “I don’t have a particular snack I always eat. If I would snack, I would snack on maybe fruit or a little bit of chocolate, because I think your body needs that, too.”

Speaking to GQ, Matthew Atanian, Melania’s former roommate disclosed that during their time living together, well before she became the First Lady, Melania was disciplined about consuming seven pieces of fruit per day.

Moisturising her skin was another daily habit ingrained into the former-model’s routine at the time, and is one that has no doubt continued into her 50s.

In 2011, Melania herself detailed her rigorous skincare regimen, stating: “When I wake up in the morning, I like to refresh myself and put some tonic on-one with vitamin C-and then an oxygen cream with vitamins A, C, and E. That’s very important to me so that my skin will stay moisturised throughout the day.”

She emphasised the importance of her nightly routine, saying: “I never go to sleep before washing my makeup off and I really nurture my skin at night.”

Melania’s youthful skin habits started young too, as she revealed she took care of her skin in her teenage years by limiting sun exposure and using moisturiser religiously.

The First Lady even divulged that she enjoys the luxury of having a spa at home, complete with facilities for manicures, pedicures, and massages.

Of course while Melania has a seemingly wrinkle free and flawless base to work with, it’s no secret that the famous 54-year-old is partial to a full-face of makeup. A bronzed complexion with a smouldering smokey eye are go-to’s for Donald Trump’s wife, as her makeup artist, Nicole Bryl, revealed.

She told the Telegraph: “I never get too heavy handed with her mouth, simply because it would just be intensely overpowering with her smoky eye make-up.”

Nicole added that Melania favours matching her makeup to her outfit for a seamless look too, claiming: “I often pick lip colours based on what outfit Melania will be wearing for that day and if we do add a pop of colour, it’s often at the very end with a dash of bright gloss to keep it soft and sensuous.”
