Meghan Markle has been savaged by a handwriting expert who described her latest move as “unnatural and contrived”. The Duchess of Sussex sparked a media storm this week after she sent a handwritten note to an influencer which featured her royal cypher.
Influencer Amanda Hirsch was shocked to receive a personalised hand-written message from the Duchess after criticising her for not appearing “authentic” in her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. After being made aware of Amanda’s post, Meghan sent her a note, which read: “Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be. This is the fun part – let’s enjoy it”.
She signed off with: “As ever, Meghan.” Now a graphologist has analysed the duchess’s handwriting and suggested that it is not natural but rather “a manufactured persona style”.
Handwriting expert Tracey Trussell has claimed the Duchess is “hiding behind a carefully constructed mask” which could conceal “underlying feelings of inadequacy”.
Speaking on behalf of Oddspedia, Ms Trussell explained: “The clockwork regularity of Meghan’s calligraphic style is unnatural and contrived. It’s a manufactured persona style, which takes a large amount of time and self-discipline to produce. So, she’s all about producing a polished performance.
“And when someone hides behind a carefully constructed mask, it means that we’ll never really know what’s going on underneath. However, we do know that this laboured penmanship conceals underlying feelings of inadequacy and reveals a perfectionist streak and strong desire to get things right.
The expert added that the way Meghan’s writing appears to be tumbling forward shows the duchess’s “enthusiasm and passion for life”.
She said: “The long upwards endstroke of the letter a in ‘Amanda’ shows her motivation to do good works, but it’s all for applause and effect, without any real feeling or emotion behind the intention.”
She also claimed that Meghan’s enlarged capitals reveal “immense pride and vanity”, while the loops can be interpreted as showcasing her “apprehension in the face of anything new”.
The expert added that the way the duchess joins the letter g to h in her name shows her “progressive, goal-orientated approach, and also her sensitivity and the way her family provides an essential root for her security”.
Analysing the crown on top of her cypher and the real reason behind its use, Ms Trussell claimed that the duchess is only trying to promote the opulence and luxury surrounding her brand.
She explained: “We have seen how Meghan is motivated to present herself in the best positive light. So, she’s putting herself on a pedestal.
“She’s out to impress, but it’s style over substance. By using the crown cypher this only enhances her image and status, and the feeling of luxury and culture around her brand.”
