US journalist and royal commentator Lee Cohen suggested Meghan’s absence will provide the royals with three major benefits during this time of crisis.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Cohen claimed that the move could be seen as a sign of respect for King Charles and his family and allow everyone to stay focused on his welfare.
He said: “It is by far better Meghan stays home. Let’s stay focused on the King’s welfare and be respectful of him and the caring family in Britain surrounding him.”
The expert went on to add that this will also allow the royals to avoid any distractions during the health crisis.
He explained: “It’s a pity even to have to consider any distractions at this highly sensitive time.
“Like in Britain, we Americans are praying for the King’s full and speedy recovery. God save the King.”
