Meghan Markle won't be in Suits spin off despite bosses creating 'perfect role'

Now four years later since the show ended, its creator Aaron Korsh is back as writer and executive producer for the new show alongside David Bartis and Dog Liman for Hypnotic, and Gene KleinDavid Bartis and Dog Liman for Hypnotic, and Gene Klein.

Suits: LA is set in the same world as the original series, but will feature new characters and take place in Los Angeles rather than New York City.

It follows Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles, with production slated to start in Vancouver in late March, according to Variety.

The new show even featured a “tailor-made” character for Meghan – Erica – who is an African-American career-focused Californian girl in her 30s who’s “smarter than everyone” and enjoys an eventful personal life.

In recent weeks, reports suggested that Meghan might potentially come back and join the show’s spin-off.

But now sources close to the Duchess have said this is highly unlikely.

They said that whilst Prince Harry’s wife has no plans to act in the series, she might have been interested in getting involved in another way.

They told the Mail: “Meghan was clear that she didn’t want to be involved as an actor. But Archewell was trying to wiggle its way in as a production company on the spin-off. NBC have killed that idea.”

The publication claimed that sources close to Archwell have denied this and stressed the company would never have been involved in a reboot.

Archewell have been contacted for comment.
