Meghan Markle 'snubs' Suits co stars as ex pals 'don't have her number'

Meghan Markle didn’t join her old cast mates at the Golden Globes on Sunday as they admitted to “not having her number”.

The Duchess of Sussex failed to make an appearance at the Hollywood event over the weekend, with sources claiming she had a “previous commitment”. One of Meghan’s old friends Gina Torres, who starred on Suits alongside Meghan, revealed they “don’t have her number” when asked if anyone had tried to reach out to the former actress.

Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht, who played lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter in the show, presented the best TV drama award before they were joined by fellow stars Gina and Sarah Rafferty. Meanwhile, Meghan missed the event that was held in Los Angeles and attended by A-listers.

Speaking to Variety at the star-studded event, Gina told an interviewer who asked about Meghan’s absence: “We don’t have her number. We just don’t so. She’ll see. She’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.”

Gina, who played top lawyer Jessica Perason in the hit series, was present at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018, suggested the pair have since lost contact.

The ceremony also saw host Jo Koy make a dig at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying the pair are being paid “millions for doing absolutely nothing – and that’s just by Netflix”. Audience members appeared to love the joke, laughing along, including Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos.

The streaming service were said to have paid the couple £88million for their docu-series that saw the couple make a number of allegations against the Royal Family.

Some dubbed host Jo Koy’s dig as “brutal” following a year of difficulties for the couple which saw them lose out on their million-dollar deal with Spotify.

The couple have most recently received backlash after Omid Scobie’s book Endgame was released and appeared to name the Royal Family members involved in an alleged race row – which was first brought to light in their Oprah Winfrey interview in March 2021.

Charitable donations to their Archewell foundation have also drastically dropped by around £9.5million, as it was also revealed that Harry and Meghan work just “one hour per week” at the foundation.
