Meghan Markle snubbed from Suits Super Bowl reunion and reboot despite 'perfect role'

Meghan Markle’s Suits co-stars are set to reunite for a new Super Bowl ad, airing on February 11, but the Duchess of Sussex has no involvement.

Her former Suits co-stars Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, and Sarah Rafferty will reunite for the e.lf. Cosmetics ad, but Meghan who played Rachel Zane was not in the spot.

In the upcoming commercial, directed by Zach Woods, the Suits legal team ends up in Judge Judy’s magnificent courtroom.

Hoffman said of meeting the 81-year-old icon: “I made a fool of myself.

“I literally became starstruck just because for years, I grew up watching her. And then ultimately, I was like, ‘I have to ask her to make a video for my mom’.”

The source claimed: “Meghan was clear that she didn’t want to be involved as an actor.

“But Archewell was trying to wiggle its way in as a production company on the spin-off. NBC killed that idea.”

Separate sources close to Archewell deny this vigorously, however, and say that the company would never have been involved in a reboot.

Meghan played Rachel Zane in the original show, which premiered in 2011 and came to an end in 2017.

She however left in 2017 after her romance with Prince Harry was made public and started taking off.

Last summer, the legal drama unexpectedly became the most streamed show in the US for 12 weeks straight after it was added to Netflix.
