Meghan Markle shows off toned arms in never-before-seen picture of her cooking on visit

Meghan Markle showed off her athletic arms as she joined a group of women in California to cook traditional Afghan food as part of her work with The Welcome Project.

The initiative was launched by Meghan and the Archewell Foundation last year to support women-led programming and create a safe home for women in the US who have fled there from Afghanistan.

In collaboration with Archewell’s partner Mina’s List, the Duchess joined the group of 15 women to prepare traditional Afghan food including Ashak and Mantuu last Saturday February 10, before she sat down to chat with them about their experiences.

Unaccompanied by Prince Harry, Meghan was dressed in a sleeveless black cashmere crewneck sweater from J Crew, currently selling at £77 ($98).

Her Hedley and Bennett apron was also personalised with the addition of the words Archewell Foundation embroidered on, but the apron itself is still available to buy for £75 ($95).

Royal fans on Instagram were very taken with both her look and her charity work, with one saying: “I appreciate seeing her in work mode and have noticed even though she’s no longer in the UK, her forcus for supporting women though her charities continues unabated. All while looking lovely.”

Another added: “Lovely, reminds me of her work with the ladies at Grenfell in London and the Together book”, while a third pointed out: “She always looks so elegant and beautiful.”

Meghan kept her long dark locks tied back out of her way as she worked in the kitchen, as one fan questioned: “I wonder if she does this hairstyle her self? Always so effortless and pretty.”
