Meghan Markle secretly plotting UK return with brand relaunch, expert predicts

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be looking to relaunch themselves in the UK as they continue to make 2024 a year of fresh starts for them.

Already so far this year Meghan has signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media and Harry has taken baby steps to patch up his relationship with the Royal Family.

Last week Meghan announced her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, which is will be selling a wide variety of home and kitchenware.

Now the couple are said to be looking for new PR representation in the UK, with one royal expert explaining why they have chosen now to make their comeback and how it may coincide with the Duchess of Sussex’s new brand.

On an episode of Palace Confidential, Daily Mail royal editor Rebecca English said: “I suspect it’s also got something to do with the big plans that we’re hearing about that Meghan is going to launch this big commercial project. I presume this commercial project will have some sort of residence in this country.”

The Duchess has yet to speak publicly about what American Riviera Orchard will be selling, however documents filed on February 2 by a company called Mama Knows Best, LLC based in Beverly Hills, and pending review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, appear to reveal all.

These documents confirm that Meghan’s company will be selling items including tableware, table cutlery, servingware, decanters, dinnerware, chargers, napkin rings, and table placecard holders.

News of American Riviera Orchard was announced last Thursday, March 14, the same day as Harry and Prince William delivered speeches at the Diana Legacy Awards.

Some critics have expressed disdain for their apparent decision to ‘overshadow’ William’s speech, however there could be another reason why Harry and Meghan chose March 14 for the announcement.

The date coincides with their “freedom flight” back in 2020, the day when they officially travelled to Los Angeles to start their new life in California.

PR expert Megan Boyle, head of digital PR at TAL Agency, said that Meghan was her “dream client” and she would love to work with her to rebuild her image in Britain.

She told Express.co.uk: “To me, Meghan Markle is a dream PR client, because she’s got it all. She’s got star power from her time on Suits, she’s a working mum, she’s philanthropic, and she has an authority in the lifestyle and fashion world – thanks to her past passion project, The Tig.

“If I was Meghan’s PR, then these are the areas I would really lean into. Of course, it’s clear Meghan wants to stay away from TV and film, but there’s plenty more for her to work on.

“She’s already involved with a huge amount of charities and international causes – which is a key area to work on – especially as the spotlight looks more towards those with power, influence and money to make a difference in the world.”
