Meghan Markle row left Sharon Osbourne needing 8 months of therapy due to death threats

She further added on the subject: “I mean, you say one thing and it is a seed that grows into a b****y big tree, and you are like, ‘Jesus, no.’ It was huge.

“It was just insanity, and it is the ugliest thing I have ever been through. The internet is jury, judge and executioner.”

Sharon once spoke about this period in her life during her time on Celebrity Big Brother. When fellow housemate Lauren Simon asked if she could work in the US, Sharon responded: “I can legally but no one will employ me because they say I’m racist.

“They think we don’t know what it’s like to be picked on. I wouldn’t pick on anyone because of their race or religion.”

The day after Meghan and Prince Harry’s famous interview, Piers stated: “I’m just going to say what I’m going to say. This is a two-hour trash-a-thon of our royal family, of the monarchy, of everything the queen has worked so hard for, and it’s all being done as Prince Philip lies in hospital.

“They trash everybody. They basically make out the entire royal family are a bunch of white supremacists by dropping this race bombshell. They didn’t name which one it was. They just throw it out there, so it can be any member of the royal family.”

In support of Piers, Sharon tweeted: “‘I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.”

Piers was let go from Good Morning Britain in March 2021 while Sharon was also asked to leave CBS’s The Talk two weeks later.
