Meghan Markle is attempting to make herself appear more “down-to-earth” in series two of With Love, Meghan after making an “unwise” move following the first series. The 44-year-old is gearing up to release the second series today, with eight brand-new episodes showing Meghan making a host of delicious food with different friends.

From the trailer for the second series, which was released earlier this month, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claims that Meghan is seen displaying a more “down-to-earth” persona in a shift in strategy. The series was filmed at the same time as the first, which, according to the expert, was an “unwise” move.

Filming it concurrently, he said that it was “unwise, because you can’t pick up any criticism”.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Fitzwilliams suggested that, although filming had already taken place, “tweaks” had been made during editing following the backlash that the show had received.

He claimed: “It was only a minute, two minutes that we saw, but the way it was tweaked was obviously a response to criticism.”

The expert claimed that the most significant change was in the way that Meghan was seen interacting with her guests.

He said: “The trailer seemed a great deal more down-to-earth. I think she is a bit more responsive (to guests)… Meghan appeared to be receptive to the views of others.”

Among the celebrity guests featured in the trailer were Chrissy Teigen and fashion expert Tan France.

Additional guests confirmed for the second series include chefs David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Christina Tosi and Clare Smyth.

Prince Harry and their two children – six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet – are not featured in the trailer.

With Love Meghan season 2 will be available on Netflix from 8am.
