Meghan Markle 'obsessed' with one thing when it comes to Prince Archie's birthday

Tom revealed to The Mirror: “When it comes to her children’s birthdays, Meghan is almost obsessed with the idea that they should be quiet, very private affairs, with simple games, a birthday cake and ice cream.

“Archie is a real live-wire who loves rushing around at top speed so there will also be blind man’s bluff and tag among other games.”

He added: “Meghan combines a deep sense of her own global importance in the wider world with a desire to make her children experience what she sees as the more ordinary things in life.”

Since Meghan and Harry relocated to the United States after stepping back from their Royal duties in 2020, Archie has not had the chance to celebrate with the Royal Family.

According to Tom, Archie’s birthday celebrations will include his school friends, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, and “one or two celebrities” who have children of a similar age and live nearby, such as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and their daughter Daisy.

The Royal Family reportedly breathed a “huge sigh of relief” when Meghan decided not to accompany Harry on his trip to the UK.

It appears that the Duchess of Sussex is strongly opposed to her son visiting the UK anytime soon, despite King Charles III’s “desperate” desire to build a relationship with his two grandchildren, Tom revealed.

Tom also mentioned that the monarch is not a fan of “new technology” and feels “uncomfortable” with the idea of using video call apps like FaceTime and WhatsApp to keep in touch. The King prefers traditional phone calls.

The author also suggested that the monarch plans to gift Archie a playhouse for his birthday, mirroring a similar present he gave to Prince William’s son, Prince George.

“Charles also suggested that he give Archie a playhouse, not a plastic child’s playhouse, but a superb hand-made shepherd’s hut, complete with bunks and bookshelves,” he said.

“Charles hates the idea that Harry might think he favours one grandchild over another and he has already given Prince George a similar hut which reputedly cost a cool £18,000.”
