Meghan Markle missing from Suits reunion at Golden Globes as co-star addresses her return

“There’s nothing more dramatic or anxiety-inducing than waiting all night to hear that your category is finally arrived,” Gabriel said when the two took the stage.

Patrick then quipped back: “Yes, that’s true. It’s hard to imagine having to wait so long to see your show get that kind of recognition.”

“What are you talking about?” Gabriel asked as Patrick replied: “Don’t worry, I’ll explain a bit later.”

The duo starred together on Suits as corporate lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter, for seven seasons until Patrick left in 2018 alongside his co-star Meghan, who played Rachel Zane – his on-screen love interest.

The surge in views was thought to be a result of Meghan and Prince Harry’s dramatic exit from the royal family and all the drama that followed.

In light of the show’s resurgence, NBC has a spinoff in the works called Suits: Los Angeles, from series’ creator Aaron Korsh. It will feature new characters with speculation that some original stars could feature.

It had previously been reported that Meghan is in “advanced talks” over a huge TV comeback in a spin-off as her loved Suits character.

Patrick also made a nod to Meghan’s rumoured TV return during a red-carpet interview with ET.

When probed about whether Rachel would appear in any upcoming Suits projects, Patrick coyly noted: “Sure. Mike and Rachel in Seattle. They gotta come down to L.A., they gotta fix some stuff.”

“She’s pretty popular right now,” he added. “Did you hear about Meghan? I’ll tell you later.”
