Meghan Markle leaves kids in stitches as she shows off acting skills at hospital


Meghan Markle melted hearts when she visited a children’s hospital to support its fundraising campaign – reading poorly youngsters three of her favourite children’s books.

The Duchess of Sussex visited Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on March 21 to support their Make March Matter fundraising campaign and showed off her acting skills as she read stories to the young patients. The heartwarming encounter was captured on video which today (April 2) surfaced on social media.

Prince Harry’s wife looked chic in a floral ensemble which she paired with a white shirt on top and pointed black flat shoes. Meghan read three of her best books – Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat, and I Saw a Cat.

She also helped children with STEAM activities connected to each book. In the video, the mum-of-two can be seen greeting a group of young children as they gather to hear her read them stories.

Meghan’s acting skills gave a clear advantage as the former Suits actress is seen engaging in animated storytelling. The children can be heard shouting and singing along as Meghan read the books.

After the storytelling session, the duchess hugged and spoke to the children as well as members of staff and took pictures with them.

A statement said: “Children were laughing and singing as The Duchess turned into character with every page as she read patient favorite books like Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat and I Saw a Cat.”

Meghan has released her own children’s book, titled The Bench, in 2021, after she found inspiration from the relationship that Harry has with their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
