Meghan Markle is ‘strategic’ with her friendships and 'casts pals aside' – royal experts

Meghan Markle chooses friendships “strategically” and is famous for “unfriending her friends” a royal expert has claimed.

As Meghan sent the first batch of her ‘American Riviera Orchard’ strawberry jam to a total number of 50 selected friends, the expert joked Meghan might not have enough friends to distribute the products to.

Speaking on Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential, Charlotte Griffiths explained: “I think she’s a bit strategic with her friends and once she’s finished with them, she casts them aside and forgets all about them, deletes their number and blocks their number in some cases.”

She added: “[She’s unfriended] family members, Suits co-stars, her best friend Jessica Mulroney, whose children were page boys at the Royal Wedding.”

To promote her new brand ‘American Riviera Orchard’, Meghan Markle sent 50 jars of jam to friends and influencers including Delfina Blaquier and fashion designer Tracy Robbins, who shared shots on Instagram.

Ms Griffiths is not convinced Meghan has that many friends, adding: “Back to the jam thing, the other big joke that’s been running all week is how does she know 50 people to send jam to.”

She also claimed the list of jam recipients was similar to her Royal Wedding guest list claiming “she invited people to that Royal Wedding of hers that she barely knew such as Oprah…”

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, Last month launched her new lifestyle brand ‘American Riviera Orchard’, as she and Prince Harry pursue new projects away from the Royal Family.

After stepping down as working royals in 2020, Meghan and Harry signed a £80million contract with Netflix.

As part of the deal, the Montecito-based couple are producing two new projects, one show focusing on lifestyle and cooking, and another offering a look inside the sporting world of polo.
