Meghan Markle hailed by Suits co-star as her 'loveliness' boosted its popularity

Meghan starred as Rachel Zane in seven seasons of the hugely successful Netflix show which ran from 2011 – 2019.

She left in 2018 after getting married to Prince Harry and moving to Britain.

Spencer added that the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes also made Suits more popular on Netflix.

She said: “During the strike, there wasn’t anything else. You know, Netflix repositioned it, so I think there is something to positioning on Netflix, and when other things aren’t being made, it commands your attention, but it has to be great for people to watch it.”

Back in November, the Duchess of Sussex spoke about the show’s renewed popularity during Variety’s Power of Women awards in LA.

She said: “Isn’t that wild? It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.

“But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”
