Meghan Markle 'done' with the UK despite Prince Harry preparing for imminent return

Speculation continues to mount over whether Meghan Markle will join Prince Harry on his trip to the UK, as a royal expert suggested that she may be “done” with the UK.

Scheduled to attend a celebration of the Invictus Games on May 8, Harry’s return to the UK is imminent, along with a potential Royal Family reunion.

However, royal historian Marlene Koenig casts doubt on Meghan’s participation in the trip, claiming that she will only return to the UK for something more “major”.

She told GB News: “I don’t think Meghan will be visiting the UK anytime soon. I think she’s done with that. Unless there’s something major like a funeral. But Harry and Meghan’s life is in the US.”

Meghan has rarely visited the UK since she and Prince Harry left the Royal Family in 2020, with her last visit being for the late Queen’s funeral in 2022.

Prince Harry is set to attend a special service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8, with Meghan’s attendance still uncertain.

Marlene’s remarks follow Prince Harry’s recent interview where he discussed his bond with the Royal Family and his intentions to visit the UK.

He said: “Look I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him [King Charles], I’m grateful for that.

“So my family and my life in California is as it is. I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”
