Meghan Markle blasted for 'taking Prince Harry's job' as expert says 'people are angry'

Meghan Markle has been accused of taking Prince Harry’s “job” as she is set to take on a “big role” at the Invictus Games. The Duke of Sussex is expected to be joined by his wife at the anniversary in London next month, despite Meghan’s apparent pledge to “never step foot” in the UK again.

But according to royal expert Angela Levin, Meghan is “taking over” the event founded by her husband in 2014. Speaking to GBN America, Ms Levin said: “She comes over, she does a speech, she does a second speech, she leads people down the paths and the winners, and they say she knows nothing about fighting and going in wars.

“It was Harry’s job, and I think they feel quite sorry for him. They’re angry.” There has been no official confirmation as to whether Meghan will return to the UK in person as yet.

The royal biographer also claimed those in Canada, where this year’s event is being held, have asked how they can “stop the games from going ahead” this summer.

Comparing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s success individually, Levin said the Duke of Sussex is “out the door when it comes to who is in the spotlight”, and Meghan “recently took away his spotlight” with the launch of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Host Nana Akua argued that the timing of the launch could have been “well timed” by Meghan because Prince Harry was “already in the spotlight” after virtually appearing at the Diana Awards in London.

According to Ms Levin, the games could be held in the UK in 2027, presenting some challenges for the couple.

A source has claimed that Harry’s next trip will be focused on spending as much time as he can with his father, in order to “build bridges and enjoy each other’s company like before.”

They told the Mirror: “Harry’s first priority when he comes to England is to see his sick dad. He is pretty focused on this. It will be his first port of call when he comes off the plane to try and spend as much time with King Charles so that they can build bridges, and enjoy each other’s company like before.”

The source added: “Harry knows it will be awkward, but it’s a time to put pride and differences to one side.

“He is coming over for his charity work, which is so important to him so he will juggle his schedule accordingly, but seeing his dad will come first.”
