Meghan Markle has confused her fans after sharing an unusual message on her brand’s social media. The Duchess of Sussex took to As Ever’s Instagram page on Tuesday to post a new photo of what appeared to be her garden in Montecito, California.
The photo featured the message: “Let me tell you ’bout the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees and the moon above.” The text appeared to be the Duchess’s own handwriting, as she usually does with her As Ever posts and products, featuring calligraphy flourishes – swirls and curls around the letters.
In the caption, she used the rest of the lyrics from Jewel Akens’s 1965 song, The Birds And The Bees, writing: “…and a little thing called love.”
Fans were left baffled as they struggled to read the message easily, and some shared their opinions online.
One user complained: “So hard to read.”
A second one agreed: “Can’t either, ridiculous writing.”
A third one said: “She knows whomever’s handwriting that is is incredibly illegible for a brand font right?”
A fourth one said: “Rachel’s ‘calligraphy’ isn’t calligraphy — it’s cursive on a caffeine rush. But sure, if you squint hard enough, every doodle is a designer font.”
A fifth one blasted: “I don’t even know what it says it is so ineligible!”
A sixth one commented: “I can’t even read her fauxligraphy. Communication clearly isn’t her strong point.”
