Meghan Markle has been slammed by a royal expert over the launch of her lifestyle business.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, first announced she was starting her own brand American Riviera Orchard in March, setting up a website and an Instagram page. Since then, very few details have emerged and no products have been made available to buy.
This has reportedly led to a decline in interest towards the brand, with royal fans hyped to begin with but now starting to lose interest, according to one royal expert who believes a rushed announcement is now having an impact.
According to GB News, royal commentator Richard Eden had heard about the duchess’ move to launch a new brand and contacted her office to let them know he was set to reveal this information.
The duchess then reportedly rushed to launch the brand early, determined for her new career move not to be revealed.
Prince Harry’s wife is also expected to launch a Netflix show based on her brand and her lifestyle, however the date for this – and the business launch – has not been confirmed.
The only sign of Meghan’s brand progressing at the moment is the release of her homemade jam, which was given to only 50 of her closest friends shortly after news of her business was made public earlier this year.
Kris Jenner and Chrissy Teigen were among those to receive a jar of the spread, believed to have been made by Meghan herself.
At the moment, the lifestyle brand has a social media following on Instagram of over 600,000 people.
