Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's secret visit captures Duchess in adorable video

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a secret visit to Uvalde, Texas, to meet the family of Irma Garcia, a teacher who lost her life in the school shooting.

They spent time with Irma’s relatives on Saturday, even joining in a family birthday celebration. The Duchess can be seen singing as she holds up a cake, while Harry laughs in the background.

Irma’s story touched many hearts as her husband Joe passed away from a heart attack just two days after the tragedy.

The family was happy to see them, with Irma’s nephew John Martinez posting: “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry came to my house! They’re such a beautiful couple and I’m so blessed – so glad they came to check up on the family!”

John also said that Harry and Meghan were very kind to his cousins and sang “Happy Birthday” to his mum.

Meghan had previously visited Uvalde shortly after the sad event in 2022 to pay tribute to the victims. She was seen outside the Uvalde County Courthouse, leaving white roses at a memorial.

Later, Meghan got in touch with Irma’s sister to see how the family was doing, especially Irma’s four children who had lost both parents.

Irma was one of the victims of the shooting on May 24 at Robb Elementary School, where two teachers and 19 kids were tragically killed.

It comes after Meghan appeared at the SXSW Festival on Friday, making a powerful speech about women’s empowerment and online harassment.

She talked about the cruel trolling she experienced while she was a working member of the Royal Family and pregnant with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Meghan spoke fondly of Harry, saying: “Amongst the privileges that I have in my life, I have an incredible partner. My husband is such a hands-on dad and such a supporter of me and our family, and I don’t take for granted. That is a real blessing.”
