Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 'currency' is link to royals: 'They're not influencers!'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s only “currency” is their link to the Royal Family, claimed a royal expert, following the release of their website Sussex.com.

In the Daily Mail Royals’ Palace Confidential Youtube series, royal expert Richard Kay cast doubt on the couple’s influence, saying: “They’re not global influences like they think they are, they’re gonna have to adjust their expectations downwards.”

Sarah Vine, a columnist for the Daily Mail, expressed concerns about the move, suggesting it encroaches upon royal customs and ventures into “dangerous territory.” She went so far as to call for the King to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles.

Vine opined: “Without the royal title, Harry is just a slightly balding, a bit thick ex-soldier and she’s just a moderately pretty quite good actress. The currency is their association with the royal family.

“They’ve had plenty of opportunity to show that they are more than just royals, but they haven’t done that. They’ve just traded on their association.”
