A new picture has been posted on Instagram of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Valentine’s Day this year, showing them looking casual and happy smiling together with friends.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in Canada the week of February 14 attending a series of events to celebrate the one year countdown to the Invictus Games 2025, which are set to be held in Whistler and Vancouver.
On Wednesday night, Valentine’s Day itself, the couple spent the evening with First Nations of western Canada, touring the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre with Youth Ambassadors, Chief Nelson and Wilson Williams.
The Instagram account @whatmeghanwore subsequently shared an image of Harry and Meghan posing with guests at a cocktail reception held on the same night.
Meghan was wearing a dark Dior top and Anine Bing trousers, and accessorised with her Bottega Veneta World gold drop earrings, which she was also seen wearing last month.
Royal fans in the comments section were divided over her look, as the Dior top appeared creased, perhaps due to her wearing a black Shop Doen Kensington Coat over the outfit earlier on.
One said: “I wonder what the fabric is of her top? I’d have to guess her coat she was wearing in the first photo wrinkled it from the looks of it.”
Another added: “The pants are fine but that top is a miss, not just because it’s wrinkly (is it linen?) but it seems too big on her? That’s ok, not every outfit has to be a hit!”
However a third person was full of praise, saying: “Totally appropriate for the occasion. She looks awesome”. While another commented: “Meghan looks amazing as always. I like the way she wears what she wants when she wants.”
Harry meanwhile was dressed casually in a white shirt, black jeans, navy blazer and black peacoat, having enjoyed some winter sports earlier in the trip.
Invictus 2025 is the first year that the tournament will feature winter activities, with the Duke excitedly trying out sit skiing and skeleton bobsledding while Meghan looked on.
