Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'couldn't care less' about criticism in Britain

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “couldn’t care less” about the criticism they are facing in the UK since leaving the Royal Family, it has been claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have divided opinion since announcing their exit from the Royal Family in 2020.

Their criticism of the royals, seen in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix series as well as Harry’s memoir, led to intense backlash in recent years.

But a source close to the Sussexes has claimed that Harry and Meghan do not care about the criticism they face in the UK.

Speaking to Elle, the source claimed: “They surround themselves with loyal friends and are very cautious about who they invite into their lives. Meghan is very focused on building a great network.

“She is the type of person who will not only remember your birthday, she’ll also send a very personal and thoughtful gift.

“She could[n’t] care less [about the criticism]. She knows who her friends are and this is all she cares about.

“She is excited about her latest, personal venture…This is something she’s been wanting to do for a while. She is excited to share her style and things that she loves.”

Earlier this month, Meghan launched her new lifestyle brand called ‘American Riviera Orchard’.

The brand was unveiled with a new Instagram page which featured a trailer. Meghan was seen baking and arranging flowers in the video.

A source also told People that the brand will “reflect everything that she loves—family, cooking, entertaining and home décor.”

They added: “Meghan finds the name American Riviera Orchard perfect. It feels authentic to her. She can’t wait for the website to launch.”

The brand’s trademark filing application covers cookbooks, tableware, linens, a range of spreads and preserves including jellies, jams and nut butters, alongside table place card holders specified to be “not of precious metal”.

The name is reportedly a nod to Santa Barbara in California, nicknamed the ‘American Riviera’ because of its weather and scenery.
