Man with 'obsession for tigers' mauled to death after jumping into enclosure

In a chilling incident, a man having an “obsession for tigers” was killed by an endangered big cat after he jumped into its enclosure at a zoo in India.

Despite multiple warnings from security personnel, Maqsood Khan entered the white tiger enclosure at New Dehli Zoo and came face-to-face with a seven-year-old tiger named Vijay.

Scary footage shows the tiger, Vijay, eying the intruder for a long 15 minutes. When people began shouting and throwing stones to distract the animal, the tiger grabbed the frightened Khan by his neck and dragged him away to his death.

A witness raced to the scene upon hearing screams, only to see Khan caught in the tiger’s jaws, dealing with severe pain. “He kept suffering for the next 10-15 minutes but nobody helped him,” they said.

Another onlooker recounted: “As the tiger came closer he clasped his hands and seemed to be praying. The tiger watched him closely for 15 minutes.”

During this ordeal, a security guard at the tiger enclosure raised an alarm and sent out an emergency message over the radio. But witnesses reported that it took approximately 15 to 20 minutes for backup staff to reach the location. Sadly, by then, it was too late for Khan.
