A man visited what’s claimed to be the “best McDonald’s in Spain”, and one thing left him totally gobsmacked. Harry, who’s known for sharing travel content online explained he recently headed to the fast food chain store in Benidorm, and he couldn’t help but leave his personal review online. In the clip, which he shared under the TikTok handle HarryTokky, he said the restaurant probably has one of the nicest views he’s ever encountered at a McDonald’s – not to mention, the Spanish branch even serves its own beer, which he couldn’t resist sampling during his visit to the eatery.
He had a real good look at the menu to see if there was anything different to try. He decided to opt for the “McExtreme Tutti Pepperoni” meal, some fries as well as a “McBeer”.
Harry also noted he picked up a portion of the “Italian Taster McShaker” fries. When he opened up the burger, he claimed it looked an “absolute state”. He went on to say the meal was a “disaster”, and he didn’t think the pepperoni tasted very good.
To sample the “McShaker” fries, he popped them in a bag and gave them a shake. He said he paid extra for the experience, but it didn’t seem to add anything to the dish.
As for the “McBeer”, he described the drink as “yummy”, but it wasn’t the best McDonald’s meal he’d ever had. Harry didn’t disclose how much the meal cost him, but he wasn’t left overly impressed.
The video has been viewed dozens of times since it was shared, and people were quick to comment too. They posted all sorts of thoughts and ideas online.
One said: “Benidorm McDonald’s is the best one.” Another wrote: “There’s meant to be a packet of flavouring you put in the McShaker bag. Like the flavouring on crisps.”
A third replied: “Try the chicken wings. We swear by them.” Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “Can’t wait to go in July.”
Harry said the venue in Benidorm is “popular” as it has so many different things on the menu. He explained the Spanish menu homes a lot of dishes that branches in the UK don’t offer.
It should be noted the McShaker fries come with seasoning to shake in the bag. This may be where Harry went wrong with this particular side dish, as he didn’t seem to have any.
Though Harry was left a little gobsmacked by the taste of the meal, others haven’t shared the same views. On TripAdvisor it’s been scored an average rating of 3.5/5, and customers had very varied opinions.
One said: “Nice place to get some fast food. The food is good and tastes better than the UK. Great coffee and nice desserts. Very clean place with outside area.”
Another wrote: “Fantastic to be able to get simple straight to cheap food on vacation in Spain. You know what you get here, and it’s a short waiting time. Amazing – there’s also beer sold on the menu.”
A third also replied: “Great place! I’ve eaten a lot of things there, but without a doubt this place was one of the best. The food is like eating a unicorn.”
Someone else didn’t agree though, as they added: “Spanish McD’s got no milkshakes, was bitterly disappointed. You would expect a fairly hot country would have milkshakes in McD’s, well it doesn’t.”
