Now, a body language expert claimed that Mr Macron’s “mischievous gesture” carried a deeper meaning.
Darren Stanton said on behalf of Betfair Casino: “Macron seemed to get along particularly well with Kate. They seemed to have struck up a great rapport and friendship.
“There was a nice shot of Macron and Kate sitting together, and he gave her a wink.
“He appears to really like Kate – they’ve definitely built a strong bond with each other and feels he can be slightly mischievous around her.”
The body language expert added: “Overall, there were no signs of people not getting on.
“They all seemed to be genuine microexpressions of happiness and joy to be in each other’s company.”
